Here we have the saga of Brendan Donnelly, former replacement player. Donnelly, who pitched brilliantly for the Angels during the 2002 postseason, crossed the picket lines during the strike of '94-'95 and consequently is barred from joining the players' union. Therefore, the officially licensed world championship T-shirts omit his name from the team roster. Nice, huh? So what did the Angels' players do? Paid to have their own T-shirts made up that included Donnelly's name. A lovely ending to the story...until MLB and/or the union sues the Angels players for trademark infringment, of course.
